The next Imelda

Growing up I always had quite the variety of shoes.  Lately it seems like I'm down to just the basics - 1 pair of boots, 1 pair of tennis shoes, 1 pair of dress shoes.  The exception is my flip flops.  I am pretty sure I have 6-8 pairs of flip flops! 

I am secretly very happy that I passed my love of shoes on to Madison.  At any given point she has 10-15 pairs of shoes in her closet.  (In my defense, I didn't buy them all!)  Yesterday as she was getting ready for school I happened to trip on a pair of boots that were in the entryway.  That got me thinking as to how many boots she actually has!

Well.......

The best part is she will pick which boots she is going to wear and then plan her outfit around them!  I guess I shouldn't be surprised that at conferences her teacher mentioned that Madison is ALWAYS dressed super cute!

Anyone care to guess who is the most SPOILED in our household??  Yes, I would have thought Madison as well but she has been dethroned by Jack.  He usually sleeps in bed with us nestled down in between our legs/feet.  Starting last night he found a new spot!

the brown at the top of the picture is Pete's pillow.  Pete just LOVES that I don't give

up my half of the bed so the two of them get to squish cuddle on his side!!

Birthday Pictures

We have had Madison's pictures taken every year on around her birthday.  Its fun to see the changes from year to year.  You can tell when she lost that "little girl" look and started to look SO much older.  I think Pete and I are in for some interesting years ahead!

Where has the time gone??

Recently a "not so little" lady reminded me that this will be her last single digit birthday EVER!  Talk about your heart skipping a beat!  HOLY COW!  Where did my "little girl" go?? 

As I was reminiscing about the last 9 years I started going through all of the pictures we have stored on our computer.  Over the next few days (and as I go through more pictures) I will post some of my favorite pictures.
