Fair Food

Pete and I made our way through the crowds of people this past Thursday to get some of our favorite fair foods.

First stop was for Mini Donuts.  Unfortunately I forgot to take a pictures of them, but everyone knows how yummy they are!  :)

Next up,  the Food Building for Cheese Curds and the cheapest pop at the Fair!  There is nothing like a load of grease at 9:30am.

After that deliciousness we decided to do the deep fried pickles as they had been in the food building in years past.  I found an open Adirondack chair and plopped down to wait while Pete went back for the pickles.
A few minutes later he came back empty handed.  At first I thought he ate them ALL on his way back to me, but he informed me that they moved out of the food building and were on the opposite side of the fair by the Midway.  Yikes....I had to walk that far for pickles.....(You would think I was pregnant or something.....!!)

Well of course we couldn't walk that whole way and not stop to get something in between.  We could smell the corn roasting from a few blocks away and right away we knew where we were going to stop and "rest"!

Yum......

After we finished our corn we left our nice spot in the shade and made the rest of the hike to the deep fried pickles.  As they were right outside the Bazaar at the far end, we decided to stop and get our cheesecake on a stick as well.

I forgot to take a pictures of the pickles until there were only 2 left.  Some days my brain is on Auto Off!!

We ended with dessert......pure goodness on a stick!  Not sure if it was new this year or I just never noticed it in the past, but on one side of the cheesecake it had the graham cracker crust.  As soon as Pete pointed it out I devoured that side!  Sorry Pete.......

After 3.5 hours at the fair I was ready to go home.  We made the trek back to the car, cranked the AC and headed out.

I am anxious to go back next year when I can actually walk normal! :)

The BIG Move

As I mentioned before we are currently in the "transition" stage of getting the house ready for the baby.  Madison is now completely moved into the basement lower level master bedroom.  We gutted the 1/2 bath downstairs as well so now it is part of her domain.  I realized I don't have a pre-demo picture of the bathroom, but that might be for the better!  Let's just say it looks a billion times better now!

So after I took the picture I realized she had bottles/sticks of glue on the floor.  I guess when your moving, you just throw things in places until you find a more permanent home for them!

Madison has her bedroom on one side of the basement and the other side is her play/office area.

Now to finish the nursery.  The walls are painted and the bead board is up.  Will post pictures as soon as we get the furniture purchased/assembled/arranged!
