Nana and Papa watched both girls last Friday so Pete and I could go out to dinner with all of his family that were in town for the holidays. While we were gone, my Mom taught Charlie how to stick out her tongue. Now its ALL she does!! She laughs every time she does it. I think the thing that makes it super cute is her enormous cheeks.

Baby Insomnia??
The past two days have been somewhat of an experience to say the least. Charlie stopped doing one of the two things she was best at, sleeping. (The other is eating, and there is NO problem there! I jokingly told Pete last night that I might have to go back to work just so we can keep up with all of the formula this Lil piggy is eating.)
Let's just say the daily routine was thrown out the window on Wednesday and Thursday. Charlie slept for maybe 10-12 total hours between Wednesday morning and Thursday evening. She was beyond over tired and we couldn't get her to sleep. She wasn't fussy the entire time, as long as she was held she was fine. Easier said than done!
By the time Pete got home from work on Thursday I thought for sure he would have found me a complete mess!
It was the first time we truly didn't know what to do!
The following has played out numerous times in the past 7 weeks including last night.
.............
Pete: "You've done this before, don't you remember?"
me: "Yes, let me recall nearly 10 years ago! I don't think so!"
............
So what do I do, I call my Mom! If I can't recall 10 years ago, you think my Mom can recall nearly 30 years ago! (Yikes...almost 30!!)
Well, luckily Pete had the magic touch. He rocked her to sleep around 8:30 and she slept all night except for a bottle at 2pm.
But the good news is she is finally catching up today. She has been asleep since 10:15.
SO Happy!!!!!!!!!
