Planes Trains and Automobiles

For those of you that know Pete, you know that he does NOT do public transportation.  So when he called yesterday to say they were going to the Yankee's game by train I had to chuckle!

They took the hotel shuttle to the train station in White Plains (about 30 minutes north of the city) and took that in.  To get to the Bronx, they had to switch trains in Harlem!

But it was all worth it to see Yankee stadium.

The real fun started after the game when they had to catch the train back to White Plains.  Because its NY, everyone takes the train everywhere, so there were thousands of people waiting.  Being that you don't know when the trains are coming in and which line it is, you wait on the main concourse level and watch for your train line to light up saying that a train is arriving.  Then its a mad dash down 2 levels to hopefully get on your train!

Luckily they got on the last train of the night!

I sure Pete was thinking, I would much rather be in a taxi than sitting on this train!!
